Thermal quench transition in the NLC

Our research interest covers a variety of topics in soft matter physics,
such as granular matter, liquid crystals, colloids, and liquid crystal elastomers.
Our theoretical approaches are strongly linked with experiments and range from macroscopic
phenomenology to microscopic molecular modeling. The experimental techniques include
atomic and scanning tunneling microscopy, laser tweezing, and ellipsometry.
